The Mazda CX-50 enters the 2026 model year with only a few minor changes to its compelling formula. Stylish black exterior badging and a new all-white interior option are available on select trims. Additionally, Cicero shoppers can now get the outdoor-focused Meridian Edition with the standard 2.5 S powertrain.
Performance
The 2026 Mazda CX-50 delivers a thrilling ride thanks to its dynamic powertrain options. Most trims are powered by a responsive 2.5-liter four-cylinder SKYACTIV®-G engine generating 187 horsepower. It's paired with a smooth-shifting 6-speed automatic transmission with manual-shift mode and Mi-Drive technology with Sport and Off-Road modes.
For even more excitement behind the wheel, opt for the Mazda CX-50 2.5 Turbo trims. Their 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine produces 227 horsepower/310 pound-feet of torque with regular 87 octane fuel, increasing to 250 horsepower/320 pound-feet of torque with premium 93 octane. Turbo trims also include paddle shifters and add a Towing mode to the Mi-Drive system.
